Daily lights, wishes and prayers for more tolerance, environmental protection and world peace based on compassion and loving kindness

On April 6th 2026 with the name peacewave festival 2 797 141 people lit lights and said prayers all
around the world. The lights were organized by civilians, civil society groups, schools, indigenous
people, Baha'i, protestant, catholic, free Alevis, Sufi, muslim, jewish, hindu, baptist, buddhist,
MaitriBodh Parivaar, ISKCON, Vishwa Global and catholic order communities. There are 2 797 141
registered lights, which can be seen on the website www.peacewavefestival.org . Civilians lit
candles at home, indigenous people lit fires, candles burnt in church services, prayers were said in
synagoges and mosques and at homes of Baptist people, Baha´i, Sufi, free Alevis and Hindus. On
that day all Agni Hotra fires around the world were dedicated to the peacewave festival, ISKCON
devotees chanted their mantra worldwide, there was an interreligious prayer of MaitriBodh Parivaar
on zoom and there were light processions and seas of lights in public places.

Initiator is Isabella Haschke, medical practicioner in Austria, with the non profit organisation „hiking
for peace“ www.hikingforpeace.org / „Wandern für den Frieden e. V.“ www.wandernfuerdenfrieden.org and
now everyone is still called to join this field of compassion and loving kindness for the planet and the people with lights, wishes, thoughts and prayers every day.
